International Market Place, Honolulu
A visit to the International Market Place near Waikiki Beach in Honolulu in Hawaii. Very much aimed at the tourist market but well worth a look.

Haggling is great fun
just got back from OAhu… sorry, those Asians that own the kiosks are annoying & little pushy. Yes, must be hurting. Did buy some stuff with some haggling though. Just upped my some vids. Cheers
Awesome
I seen the gold one and the silver one I gave the silver one some money and he did somthing
That really is sad and terrible.
I agree, it’s very sad. Not so bad where I live and they say our province has been the least affected by it. However I see in other areas, especially California where entire families are now living in a tent. That sucks!
A lot of people have been hurt by this recession and it is so sad
Just got back from Waikiki three days ago. I must say the Market was rather quiet compared to most years I have been there. It’s definately caused by the recession. Those venders are hurting big time one gal told me. Those vernders in the small booths pay $4,000 per month rent. The one gal I bought a shirt from in a small shop pays $7,000 per month rent, crazy!
i heard there is a silver bucket robot guy there
Yes it is still open though I am not sure about his businesses
Don The Beachcomber opened that place, I thought his former buisinesses didn’t exist anymore..?
Thanks again and enjoy your day
You’re welcome. Have a good evening and a great time when you are back on Oahu. Cheers
Thanks Joe. I really appreciate all the info
Then it’s a must, you have to see Pearl Harbour. Put that on your list of places to see next time you are on Oahu. The USS Bowfin sub is very cool too. It is also located at Pearl Harbour. You may like to see Fort Derussey as well, near Honolulu and it’s free. A very neat army museum. Cheers, Joe
I’d very much like to go there as history fascinates me and my grand dad was a POW in Japan.
Pearl Harbour is awesome. We usually go to Hawaii every year or every second year, but it’s been a bout 15 years or so since I was actually at the Pearl Harbour on the tour. It really is something to see, especially the boat that takes you over the battle shipp USS Arizona. That sucker was sank in 1941 and it’s still leaking a tad bit of oil. We were on Oahu 2006 and 2007 and later this Summer we will definately take in Pearl Harbour again. We want our kids to see it.
Excellent. I’ll do that. Also Pearl Harbour has so much history. I’d love to go there
You can book a trip to the Flea Market down in your hotel lobby and s huttle will pick you up and drop you off. It’s located near Pearl Harbour. The place is so massive it is hard to fathom. Everything is new, but the prices are cheaper than the Market Place. Definately worth checking out. I hit it every time we are there. I’ll be back on Oahu in late Aug.
I’d love to do that. Sounds really good
You should check out the Aloha Stadium Flea market next time you are there. I bet you would dig that too. Hang Loose
Thanks so much. I really enjoyed it there. I always love markets. So much variety
Great video. I always have a lot of fun strolling through there and enjoying the sights and sounds. It’s a fun place.
Lucky you ! I haven’t been to Hawaii in years, and I miss Coconut Willies Bar at the International Market Place !!!! LUCKY LUCKY YOU !
You will have an amazing time
